Megan has ten years of regulatory experience, specializing in environmental compliance and permitting within the State of Florida. Her career spans multiple critical areas of environmental oversight, particularly in the context of the Clean Water Act. Her work has primarily focused the Submerged Lands and Environmental Resources Coordination Program. In this capacity, she has been involved in Environmental Resource Permits pertaining to wetland reviews, wetland impact permitting, and managing issues related to sovereign submerged lands, docks, shoreline stabilization, and mangroves. Additionally, Megan has extensive experience with the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program, overseeing compliance for construction and industrial stormwater discharge.
Her background also includes conducting compliance inspections for the Florida Clean Marina Program, as well as for domestic and industrial wastewater systems. Megan has served as an Emergency Response Member for the National Response Center and the State Watch Office, handling environmentally hazardous situations and spills. Megan’s diverse experience allows her to navigate complex environmental regulations and ensure compliance across a wide range of programs designed to protect Florida’s ecosystems and water resources.
